MACEDON. Akanthos. Circa 470-430 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 16 mm, 2.58 g). Forepart of a bull to left, head turned back to right. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with granulated recesses. HGC 3.1, 392. SNG ANS 31. SNG Ashmolean 2208. Perfectly centered and attractively toned. Light marks and with a minor scrape on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
